The 1975 releases “Robbers” music video

After releasing a teaser on Instagram, the “Robbers” music video is here!

Matthew Healy explained the video’s concept saying that:

“Characters like Bonnie and Clyde always appealed to me as a teenager – couples so intoxicated with one another that they fear nothing in the pursuit of the realization of each other, actions fueled by blind unconditional love. ‘Robbers’ is an ode to those relationships. The type of relationship all humans long for. All or nothing.”

He even gave itsallindie some detail on the song itself saying:

“I got really obsessed with the idea behind Patricia Arquette’s character in True Romance when I was about eighteen. That craving for the bad boy in that film it’s so sexualised. It was something I was obsessed with. ‘Robbers’ is about a heist that goes wrong – I suppose you can read it as a metaphor – and a girl who’s obsessed with her professional killer boyfriend. It’s a romantic ideal”
